The story behind my artwork…
It began in 2014…
After losing my father, I began to collage the old school way, with paper and scissors, as a way to process my grief. It was a sacred container for me to be with myself with no distractions. I would light a candle and incense, make a pot of tea, and put on music that set the vibe. It took some time to realize that I wanted to put the artwork into a self-published Tarot deck. When I did, The Lioness Oracle Tarot was born.
It continued…
My next project evolved into an oracle deck, that I named Vision of the Muse, and self-published in 2018. Fun fact: both The Lioness Oracle Tarot, and Vision of the Muse, were first printed after launching a kickstarter campaign each time. My path of self-publishing began with no capital, from the ground up!
Next came astrology…
It would only stand to reason, that after collaging a Tarot deck, and an oracle deck, that the third project would be based on my love for astrology. I self-published The Stars Divine in 2019.
After self-publishing these works of arts for 9 years, I am in the process of creating a new Tarot deck that I have been working on since 2022. I am hoping to release it this year, 2026, so stay tuned.
I will be keeping my audience updated via my Instagram and newsletter, so join me on those platforms if you wish. The Lioness Oracle Tarot, Vision of the Muse, and The Stars Divine are all sold out for now, but I do wish to reprint them in the future.
While all of my work thus far, including the new deck that is coming out, have all been hand cut collage, with no digital enhancement or embellishments whatsoever, I have finally begun to play with digital collage. I have been sharing these creations on instagram, as a vehicle for astrological insights. It happened spontaneously, and has added an element of freedom in my art practice.
